What is childhood Apraxia of Speech

Childhood Apraxia is a speech disorder in which children can not produce the muscle movements needed to produce speech. Children with CAS do not have any underlying muscular dysfunction. The brian’s of children with CAS can’t send the correct message to their articulators in order to move and create speech.

The speech of children with Apraxia often do not have patterns of errors. They often say the same word differently every time. This causes increased frustration among the child and parent. Children with Apraxia often have vowel errors also,
